Join USGS Wildlife Biologist and Bird TLC volunteer Lisa Pajot as she discusses the Avian Keratin Disorder study which she has been a part of for several years. Initially observed in Black-capped Chickadees in Bristol Bay and the Mat-Su Valley, the research presented here is a component of a multi-year study combining nesting success, nestling genetics, and the incidence of bill deformities in Southcentral Alaska's wild bird population. Lisa will also provide a short presentation with Kodi, Bird TLC’s Northwestern Crow education ambassador. This event is free and open to all ages. For more information call us at 907-562-4852.
