Fossil Day at the Alaska Botanical Garden
Friday, October 17, 12 pm - 3 pm
Join paleontologists, educators, and students in fossil-related events and activities in the BOOtanical Garden. Halloween costumes encouraged!
We’ll be there along with the Alaska Geologic Materials Center, the Alaska Children's Museum, UAA Dept. of Anthropology.
Critterween: Candy, Critters, and Creepy Crawlers at the workshop

A family-friendly indoor Halloween celebration. Come dressed in costume and enjoy trick or treating!
Eagle River Nature Center Halloween Hike
saturday, november 1, 12 pm - 3pm at The Eagle River Nature Center
Families with pre-k to elementary age children are invited to hike the Rodak Trail at their own pace. Visit animals, insects, and plants stationed along the trail to learn about the fun, creepy, gross, and incredible creatures Alaska is home to. Costumes are encouraged but remember to dress for the weather! This event is all outdoors.
