Experience Wild Birds Up Close at an ambassador bird program!

  • Learn about species-specific behavior and adaptations of birds of prey and corvids

  • Discover how our avian trainers use positive training methods with the Ambassador Birds

Programs feature one or more Ambassador Bird:

  • Ghost and Frost, Snowy Owls

  • Echo, Great Horned Owl

  • Culuk, Bald Eagle

  • Breland, Peregrine Falcon

  • Keear, Red-tailed Hawk

  • Shavila, Black-billed Magpie

  • Zahra, American Crow

Enjoy an Ambassador Bird Program at any of these locations:

  • Bird TLC: Fridays at 12:30, June 5 - September 4, and every second Sunday at 1:00 pm | $10.00 for adults and children over the age of 12. Free for children 12 and younger. Programs typically last 30 - 45 minutes and are held outside under a tent. Buy your tickets here!

  • The Alaska Botanical Garden: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, at 2:00 PM, June 30th - August 28th. Admission to the Alaska Botanical Garden applies. Programs are held outside.

  • The Alaska Public Lands Information Center: Wednesdays, 2:00 PM, June 3rd - September 2nd

  • Anchorage Public Library:

    • June 9th, 2:30 - 3:30 PM: Z.J. Loussac Library, Anchorage

    • June 10th, 3:30 - 4:30 PM: Scott and Wesley Gerrish Library, Girdwood
